Warnampi Talpu Talpu

The Two Water Serpents that ate the Bird Men Tarlpu Tarlpu were flying over the country from Wiluna towards Patjarr, and wherever they flew they brought water. Massive storms would gather around them bringing heavy rains and flooding the country below, and rock holes would spontaneously form, erupting in great streams and spouts of water. In the painting the snakes can be seen flying across the country through the clouds, forming the water holes below. It is one of the most powerful creation images in the Warburton Collection.
