Tingarri Stories

“The Tingarri Creation Dreamtime stories are very prominent in the northern Ngaanyatjarra lands and, featuring great flows of dreaming tracks, it has both male and female characters. While there are extremely sacred aspects, some parts of the stories are open for everyone to know. Tingarri paintings sometimes have a mathematical quality about them, of endless spatial extension which gives the sense of a great flood of this creation energy across the landscape, expressing this Creation power in the world in a way that makes it understandable  for people to live in.
